Dolce and Gabbana SS16

While scrolling through Instagram this morning I came across endless selfies of gorgeous, colourful models, captured on the catwalk. Head to toe in Italian inspired prints, it of course had to be the Dolce and Gabbana SS16 show at Milan Fashion Week.

'Italia is love' was the theme of Domenico and Stefano's detailed show, with backgrounds of authentic Italian cafes and restaurants on the scene to really show off the designers love for the country. What grabbed everyone's attention was the fact that models where walking down the catwalk with iPhones in their hands to take selfies, which projected onto large screens above the audience around the venue. These photos soon made it onto social media very quickly, giving people something to talk about on how much of a fresh approach this was to portraying collections and fashion shows to the world.

As for the outfits, detail was everything! The models wore gorgeous shift dresses with stunning Italian landscapes and famous architecture, plus accessories consisting of fruit and jewelled embellishment. The headscarves gave such an authentic feel to the show; keeping the classic signature look of the famous fashion house.
