London Fashion Week AW16 RTW kicked off yesterday and has already provided us with new talent and unique designs in its Soho carpark. The Central Saint Martins MA collection was one amongst many of the shows on Friday displaying garments made by the graduate designers.
One of the shows that has stood out has been Holly Fulton's AW/16 RTW collection, with a burst of paisley prints, 70s nostalgia and surprisingly some wearable pieces; a lot of which resemble current trends today.
Monochrome was the leading theme with bold prints found on dresses, blouses and coats. Fulton's palette also included olive green, shimmering pinks and soft brown and mustard. Puffy sleeves, dungarees, A line skirts and embellished collars made this collection define a current 70s look with its clever silhouettes and colour palette.

Cateye sunglasses
It's definitely not the weather for sunglasses yet, but the latest trend that has emerged on the high street ready for when the sun makes an appearance is cat-eye sunglasses. I was routing around the shops this week to find that they were the most popular sunnies on the racks and being my favourite style due to my love for the 1960s, I can't wait to buy several pairs of these for the Spring/Summer!
I have picked out some of my favourites from various high street stores and designers. Although, River Island have made a great effort to create lookalike classic Dior cat-eye sunglasses which are at a fraction of the price.
