London Fashion Week SS17

So far, London Fashion Week SS17 has shown a countless number of collections that have been influenced by 80s iconic fashion, such as big hair, bold makeup and power dressing. It looks like a lot of big and expected AW16 trends have been carried on into next season but with a bit more of an appropriate colour palette for the warmer months.

Some collections that stood out for me seemed to portray some big trends for next season, including the 80s obsession along with chunky platform shoes and big jewellery...

This screams 80s all over. The nod to new romantic with power dressing suits makes it such an eye-catching collection. Bomber jackets are still huge, with sporty striped details for a preppier look. The chunky jewel-buckled platform shoes add quirkiness to the collection, which are due to be key shoes for AW16 too.

I'm a massive fan of his collections and prints, they're always so feminine and fairly quirky. I especially love how he's teamed the cat print cagoule with a pleated midi and a choker which adds a nod of 90s to the collection. Another massive trend to follow up is long floral dresses and matching suits/pieces which he's styled so well with the gorgeous set of footwear!

This was one of the most eccentric collections. Again, everything about it influenced by the 1980s, with some metallic-y colours coming through too. Earrings seem to be the accessory of the season, with eye-catching sets nearly as big as the models faces.
