J U L Y F A V O U R I T E S

Following today's extremely hot weather I've wanted to go on a massive shopping trip for clothes to keep me going till the end of summer. Although it was the hottest day of the year in Britain today, reaching highs of 32 degrees, the heatwave won't last and we'll back to traditional British rain soon enough!

I've been browsing the high street and have found some gorgeous pieces around, but most of them aren't your every day summer garments, (especially if the temperatures in its 30s!) But, its about looking ahead at pieces that will take you through the summer whether its hot, cold or raining!

R I V E R   I S L A N D  -  £ 4 5

I've had my eyes on this gorgeous playsuit for a while- purely because the print up close is lovely (the image doesn't do it any justice!) I love the whole 60s silhouette.

T O P S H O P  -  £ 5 9
(part of a co-ord suit set)

Topshop posted an image on Facebook of one of their models wearing this suit set with a white blouse underneath... it looks far better on her than it does in these images! It's so feminine and fits the 'pajarma' trend perfectly.

T O P S H O P  -  £ 3 0

T O P S H O P  -  £ 3 2

Shimmer pleats currently seem to be a massive trend, coming in soft colours such as dusky pinks and greys. These trousers come in a range of colours at Topshop including the safe colour black. They're probably set to be a huge hit with the blogger babes trend!

Z A R A  -  £ 1 2 . 9 9

Zara have recently brought out an athletic range consisting of dainty ballet wear inspired pieces that are very sheer and feminine. This bralet top caught my eye in store, as its a perfect piece to be worn underneath sheer tops.

M I S S   S E L F R I D G E  -  £ 2 8

Again, the glimmer pleats are all over Topshop. I had only mainly seen them in trouser and dress forms until I came across this bardot top in Miss Selfridge, also available in grey. Perfect going out piece.

M I S S   S E L F R I D G E  -  £ 3 2

Finally, everyone needs a simple white blouse in their wardrobe, and as a huge fan of them myself, this pleat detailed shirt one from Miss Selfridge channels the Alexa Chung for M&S high neck pleated blouse, but in an easier to wear version. Great to go with anything from jeans to skirts and cigarette trousers. I will definitely be purchasing this very soon.
