1. 70's is going nowhere!
Don't throw away your A-line skirts, bell sleeved blouses and tasselled jackets, because 70s is here to stay! My love for retro styles makes me so excited that the 70's trend isn't going anywhere for AW15. Everything from Boho to flared trousers is here to stay, but just add layers, coats and tights.

(Burberry.)
Updates to this trend include lots of patchwork, quilting, Shearling trim coats and even more fringing!

Left, Burberry, right, Chloe- shearling coats.
Another positive to this trend sticking around means plenty of layering; since popular pieces include soft blouses, tasselled waistcoats and A line dresses and skirts. What makes this trend so exciting is that you can do so much with it. It's always interesting to see how we can wear certain trends differently in the Winter opposed to the Summer...
Key designers: Emilio Pucci, Jonathan Saunders and, Burberry and Chloe.
2. Preppy Geek
Nerdy styles have come and go with the Hipster trend dying down and 90's looks bringing it back again. This style is great to pull off in the colder months since you can layer up with long sleeved Pussy bow blouses and jumpers. Accessories are just as easy too with satchels, brogues and bobble hats.
Inspiration from the 60's and 70's is a good guide to pull off this look for a vintage twist. Dungarees will look good over chunky jumpers with a pair of tights and Dr Martens.
(Gucci.)
The latest accessory that is becoming a popular trend is oversized non-pre scripted glasses with tortoiseshell rims. These are able to be purchased from high street stores such as Forever 21, ASOS and Topshop.

3. Army girl
I've seen even more khaki make an appearance these passed few weeks in high street stores in the likes of Miss Selfridge and H&M. Military is getting a revamp this season as it moves away from the minimalism trend of SS15 and towards a 'tomboy meets gothic chic' approach. Think coats and high waisted trousers with plenty of button details, sharp waist coats, combat trousers, and bomber jackets teamed with studded belts and black lipstick. (Seems hard to pull off, but black lips actually look good on a lot of girls!) And of course, don't forget the signature camouflage pattern!

Lots of jewellery such as chokers and piercings such as septum rings are set to become a lot more popular in the coming months too.
(Givenchy.)
An easy way to pull off this trend is a pair of khaki or navy peg-leg trousers teamed with a cropped top or jumper.
Key designers: Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli and Vanessa Seward.
4. 80s
The 70's is clearly the most popular era at the moment but the 80's and its iconic power dressing is set to make a comeback. Power shoulders are an obvious, iconic trend, but leather is huge this season and an easier trend of the era to pull off. Channel your inner goth with black and deep purple shades, chunky belts and statement boots.

Fresh looks to come out of this trend on the catwalk included laced catsuits, oversized earrings and orange hues.

5. Fur
Your generic winter trend is making an even bolder comeback. In AW14 we saw fluffy Teddy bear coats, but this season fur comes in bolder colours, patterns and even on dresses. Again, 70's is key inspiration with chevron and stripey patterned jumpers and coats, (another big trend this season) coming in clashing blues and reds.

(House of Holland.)
Fur pom pom key rings have been around for a while now, but are continuing to stay a handbag accessory this season. Fluffy clutch bags are also the perfect accessory for nightwear, coming in bold colours from orange to baby pink hues.
The leading designer for all things fur is House of Holland, with their AW15 catwalk collection rocking everything from the fur trend to preppy geek styles.
