Dior
Although I've been really lazy, I have been keeping up on the fashion world and like the majority I was amazed by Dior's 2016 Resort show that took place in the photogenic, Cannes earlier this week. If that's not enough, it was set at Pierre Cardin's Bubble Palace, the designer's home that offers incredible architecture which gave off relaxed futuristic vibes.
I personally thought that Raf Simon's ready-to-wear collection for Dior was fairly laid-back with some sporty inspired looks, and some 50's inspired silhouettes. Hair and makeup was also kept simple, since the location done most of the talking. A lot of classic plaid was seen, as well as a pop of French Riviera tones. Overall, it grabbed everyone's attention, with celebrity guests including Dakota Fanning, Marion Cotillard, Zoe Kravitz (one of my favourite outfits), and Audrey Hepburn's granddaughter, Emma Ferrer.

Chanel
Chanel launched their Cruise collection in Seoul, South Korea, with the show taking place in the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. The reason for this is that South Korea are rapidly becoming a large target in the fashion industry, with Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by eastern fashion; which is obvious in the collection with bold, oriental florals, and traditional eastern makeup.
Kendall Jenner turned heads as she modelled a Chanel piece that she also wore for a show during this years Paris Fashion Week. Sitting front row with Karl Lagerfeld was actress Kristen Stewart.
Oriental fashion has already inspired S/S 15' looks, but it seems that designers are continuing to be inspired by Eastern culture on the catwalk; with its unique, feminine appearance.

Louis Vuitton
And finally, Louis Vuitton's Cruise collection show took place in Palm Springs, California. The show was staged at Bob Hope's former futuristic home which overlooks the valley. The collection had a bohemian vibe to it which contradicted the cool future location. It also focused on bags from oversized beachy totes to edgy backpacks.
