First post: Mini Uni Project.

During this semester at Uni, we're creating trend packages based on predictions for AW'16/17. We've been researching enough information to fill a few A3 sketchbooks, such as WGSN's predictions for the future season, and what trends are currently most popular for SS'15. We've been out and about in Liverpool taking pictures of street style, high street window displays and how the current trends are organised in the stores.
But before starting our own independent projects which we have been gathering lots of visual research for, we have spent the past three weeks creating trend packages in groups. My group were given the trend 'Solaire'; an androgynous approach to clean sports tailoring with pops of feminine shades such as yellow and lilac. Our celebrity influences included Tilda Swinton and David Bowie; with designers such as Calvin Klein leading the inspiration with their minimalistic signature collections.

Our team where very pleased with the outcome of the trend package; especially the photoshoot which really captured the key pieces and materials representing the trend perfectly. The sheer top and grey jacket really set off the sporty look, with the clean white culottes adding femininity and a touch of the 70's to the outfit. Here are some of the images taken from the shoot, with some of my own basic editing.
